Just after a day of ban Apple and Google play store remove TikTok application from its store but users who installed these applications can use this but officially these are banned in India now. a new user cannot download it from store and soon all other banned applications will be removed.
TikTok responded to this ban and invite to meet with concerned Government stakeholder and give clarification
The Ministry said it was invoking its power under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act read with the relevant provisions of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules, 2009.
“... in view of the emergent nature of threats, [the government] has decided to block 59 apps ... in view of the information available [that] they are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order,” the government said.
