SBF hack FTX assets with the order from Bahamas Government

 


FTX said that they have strong evidence that SBF former CEO of FTX gain the unauthorized access to the system to obtain the digital assets of company upon instructed by Bahamas regulatory .Commission confirmed this in his statement "On 12 November 2022, the Securities
Commission of The Bahamas (“the Commission”), in the exercise of its powers as regulator acting
under the authority of an Order made by the Supreme Court of The Bahamas, took the action of
directing the transfer of all digital assets of FTX Digital Markets Ltd. (“FDM”) to a digital wallet
controlled by the Commission, for safekeeping. Urgent interim regulatory action was necessary
to protect the interests of clients and creditors of FDM."

 FTX already filled for bankruptcy Chapter 11 on 11 November 2022 after the hack in the FTX system and 600 million transferred from its wallet to other accounts which shake the entire ecosystem of the cryptocurrency . At this time Bahamas Government is the biggest Ethereum holder.

According to Blockchain security firm Beosin calculation the Bahamas authorities is holding over $330 million 


Still no immediate statement from Bankman-Fried and Bahamas authority received .
